How Will Property Sector Perform After GE13?

Since the 13th general election until 21st May, Bursa Malaysia index KLCI has rose 5.5% from 1694.77 to 1787.3. Most of the stocks register massive gain within this 2 weeks, especially the property stocks. Out of those property stocks, which one has gained the most?

Table below summarize the gain of most property stocks from 3rd May (just before GE13) to 21st May 2013. You think the property stock that you hold is unbeatable? Well, take a look at this.

The champion is Crescendo, which jumped 56% during this period. However, Crescendo, as well as EUPE which has a construction arm, are not a pure property player. Thus, the real property champion should be Hua Yang, followed by Glomac and Tambun Indah.

Most of the property stocks rise 20-50% during this period. However, Malaysia's largest property developer SP Setia, has increased a mere 7%.

Everything that goes up must come down. I think the euphoria of bull should end now, as most stocks have surged well over their true value. Should you hold the stocks or sell for quick profit?
