Summary For May 2023
Portfolio @ End of May23
KLCI dropped 2% in May23 while my portfolio dropped even more at 4%, reducing the YTD gain to merely 2.7%.
Tech related stocks seems to suffer this month, with MI leading the pack by falling 15.8%. JHM & Krono both fell by 7%.
Nevertheless, Gtronic still managed to register a 7% gain in the month.
Both Hibiscus and Maybulk also dropped by a massive 10%.
Summary For April 2023
My Portfolio @ End of Apr23
In Apr23, my portfolio inched up just 0.5% while KLCI dropped 0.5%.
MyNews continued to fall after its loss-making result announcement, while MI lost 7.3% may be because investors have anticipated a poor upcoming result.
Uchitec advanced 6.5% after it announced a surprise special dividend of 5sen, bringing its total dividend to 30sen for FY22.
This is a good 9.1% dividend yield at share price of RM3.30.
I added more T7Global's shares into my portfolio and there was no sell transaction in Apr23.

In March 2023, KLCI dropped another 2%, perhaps due to jittery atmosphere caused by bank failure in the US.
My portfolio could not escape the negative sentiment and retreated 1.3% this month, bringing the first quarter return down to 5.9%.
The biggest casualty in Mac23 was myNews which fell 19.4% in the month especially after it released its FY23Q1 result.
The loss-making result of myNews is somewhat expected but it seems like most investors were very disappointed with this set of result.
I sold part of my myNews shares just before it released its result, as I strongly felt that its share price would surely dive after the result was out.
I didn't sell all shares as I still hope for a miracle like most shareholders.

Stock Portfolio @ End of Feb23
Feb23 was not a good month for KLCI as it dropped 2.1%, extending its YTD loss to 2.8%.
My portfolio performance was flat in this month with a slight 0.1% drop in value.
MI was high flying in late Feb23 after it released its FY22Q4 result. Its share price rose 35% in a month.
However, my portfolio was dragged down by other stocks particularly JHM, myNews & Hibiscus.
There was no buy and sell transaction in this month and the total stocks remain at 13.
